'Marea'
‘Marea’ means tide in Italian and to our knowledge this is the first wine in Australia whose hand-picked grapes were immersed into ocean water following techniques used by the Ancient Greeks. The idea was sparked by the encounter of two Italian girls (Maria & Teresa) who met working at L.A.S. Vino and had a dream to create a wine that reflects the beauty of the ocean surrounding Margaret River.
Marea represents the meeting point between nature and the human hand. Between the traditions of the old world and the dynamism of the new. Between the land, the air and the sea.

'Light yellow/straw with a little haziness, smoky burnt matchstick aromas, the palate savoury and flavoursome, rich and minerally, with a saline edginess that is a contrast to fruitiness. There is richness and textural charm as well as lightness of being: a really fascinating dry white wine. And delicious. (Grapes immersed in sea water before processing. Unfiltered) '

'Pale colour. Superb and tightly packed aromas of saline, lemon pith and honeydew melon with a subtle nutty underlay. Excellent volume of flavour and texture, this mouthfilling Vermentino deliights with a more savoury, nutty palate accented by integrated acidity through to a finish of exceptional length. '
